The Draft Water Policy Framework proposes a vision for water resources management in Western Australia and is underpinned by six overarching objectives.

The Framework was released as a discussion paper on 10 April 2006 for a ten week comment period, offering three ways for input to be provided:
  • Formal written submissions (listed below, with hyperlinks to submissions)
  • Feedback Forms (not for public release)
  • Attendance at Community Workshops held in May and June 2006 (summary report).
All input received during the period of public consultation has been analysed. Changes have been proposed to the Framework in the Draft State Water Plan released for consultation on 15 October 2006.
