The Western Australian Government established the Water Reform Implementation Committee to provide advice on a range of important water reform matters. The Department of Water provides executive support to the Committee.
The Committee released for public comment the Draft Blueprint for Water Reform in Western Australia. The draft blueprint addresses the National Water Initiative.

The Draft Blueprint was released for public comment on 7 July 2006 for a 15 week comment period, offering three ways for input to be provided:
The Water Reform Implementation Committee is now working on its final advice to the Western Australian Government.
