All rebates apply only to domestic projects and do not cover renting, leasing, hiring arrangements or commercial applications.
1. To be eligible for a Waterwise Rebate, you must complete in full and sign the rebate form and include copies of the requested tax invoices.
2. Details provided may be used to audit that the products purchased have been installed correctly to guidelines and within the Terms and Conditions of the Waterwise Rebate Program.
3. Rebates apply to purchases made and completed by 30 June 2007.
4. Elements of the Waterwise Rebate Program are subject to change without notice.
5. Rebates are only available to residential properties that are habitable. Only the householder is eligible to apply.
6. Rebates not available for commercial properties or purposes.
7. Charitable organisations are eligible for rebates for domestic use, however not for profit organisations such as sporting clubs are not eligible to apply.
8. Strata companies, managing agents, builders and developers are not eligible to apply.
Swimming Pool Covers
9. The Waterwise Rebate of $100 (capped at 50% of the total cost) is only available for swimming pool covers endorsed under the Smart Approved Watermark Scheme with a minimum warranty of 8 years. These are listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
10. The rebate is limited to one pool cover per domestic household.
11. The customer may apply for the rebate as soon as the item is purchased.
12. The customer must attach a copy of the tax invoice or receipt, stating the make and model number of the pool cover, to the completed rebate form in order to be eligible for a rebate.
Rain Sensors
13. The Waterwise Rebate of $20 is only available for rain sensors endorsed under the Smart Approved Watermark Scheme. These are listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
14. The rebate is limited to one rain sensor per domestic household.
15. The customer may apply for the rebate as soon as the item is purchased.
16. The customer must attach a copy of the tax invoice or receipt, stating the make and model number of the rain sensor, to the completed rebate form in order to be eligible for a rebate.
Subsurface Irrigation Systems
17. The Waterwise Rebate of $10 is only available for 30m rolls of subsurface irrigation pipework endorsed under the Smart Approved Watermark Scheme. These are listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
18. The rebate is limited to 10 rolls of subsurface irrigation pipework per domestic household.
19. The customer may apply for the rebate as soon as the item is purchased.
20. The customer must provide the barcode information from the product packaging and a copy of the receipt to the completed rebate form in order to be eligible for a rebate.
Waterwise Garden Assessments
20. The Waterwise Rebate of $30 is only available for Waterwise garden assessments performed by endorsed Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Centres. These are listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
22. The rebate is limited to one Waterwise garden assessment per domestic household.
23. The customer may apply for the rebate as soon as the assessment is conducted.
24. The customer must attach a copy of the tax invoice or receipt and a copy of the Waterwise garden assessment, to the completed rebate form in order to be eligible for a rebate.
Showerheads
25.The Waterwise Rebate of $10 is only available for showerheads rated 3 ‘Stars’ (or 3 'A' until 31 December 2006), and can be viewed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
26.The rebate is applicable for a maximum of two showerheads per household.
27.The customer may apply for the rebate as soon as the item is purchased.
28.Proof of purchase, in the form of a copy of the tax invoice and details (Barcodes, Wels Lic. No.) from product packaging must be provided with the completed rebate form.
Washing Machines
29.The Waterwise Rebate of $150 is only available for washing machines with a water rating of 4 ‘Stars’ (or 5 ‘A’ until 30 June 2007) listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
30.The rebate is limited to one washing machine per domestic household.
31.The rebate is available once the washing machine has been installed and is operational.
32. A copy of the tax invoice or receipt, stating the make and model number of the washing machine and showing payment in full, is required to receive the rebate.
33.Offer not valid for secondhand washing machines, rental agreements or commercial applications.
Rainwater tanks
34. A $50 rebate applies for purchase and installation of new domestic tanks over 600 litres that are not plumbed in, or up to $500 (capped at 50% of the purchase and plumbing in costs) is available if the tank has a capacity greater than 2,000 litres and is plumbed in for toilet and/or washing machine use at the time of installation. Plumbing into the house must be undertaken by a icensed plumber, in accordance with plumbing by-laws.
35. A copy of the tax invoice for purchase, and if claiming the maximum rebate, copy of tax invoice and receipt for plumbing work must be submitted with the completed rebate form.
36. You must check with your local council for approval prior to purchase and installation.
37. When installing rainwater tanks, you must ensure you have adequate mosquito controls.
38.One rebate per household to a maximum of $500. Rebate is available once tank has been installed and is operational.
Bores
39. A Waterwise Rebate of $300 per residential property (capped at 50% of the installation costs) is available for the drilling of domestic garden bores.
40. If the garden bore is installed by a licensed driller you must submit, with the completed rebate form, the licensed driller’s details together with copies of the tax invoice and receipts.
41. Electrical work for all bores must be in accordance with the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991.
42. For bores installed by persons other than licensed drillers, copies of tax invoices and receipts for items used in the installation and electrical work must be included with the completed rebate form.
43. The rebate is only applicable to successful bores that
deliver water.
44. Properties sharing a bore must be adjoining to be eligible for the rebate.
45. Rebate not valid for bore maintenance, new pumps, reticulation or share bore hook-up to an existing bore.
46.Applicant must be the owner of the property (tenants must have written approval from the owner to apply).
47.Strata companies, managing agents, builders and developers are not eligible to apply.
48.To be eligible for a $300 rebore rebate, a minimum of $600 must be spent on redrilling and lining the existing bore to make it operational (does not include pump, electrical or retic costs).
Greywater Re-use Systems and Aerobic Treatment Units
49. The Waterwise Rebate is only available for greywater re-use systems and aerobic treatment units that are approved by the Department of Health, and are listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
50. The rebate is limited to one greywater re-use system or one aerobic treatment unit per domestic household.
51. A Waterwise Rebate of up to $500 applies for greywater re-use systems and aerobic treatment units.
52.The rebate is available for both sewered and non sewered residential properties.
53.The rebate is available once the greywater re-use system or the aerobic treatment unit has been installed and a “Permit to Use Apparatus” has been received from Local Government (Shire).
54.A rebate will only be granted for greywater re-use systems or aerobic treatment units where the effluent is used for irrigation purposes.
55. Where required installation of the greywater re-use system or aerobic treatment unit must be undertaken by a licensed plumber in accordance with plumbing by-laws.
56.When claiming a rebate, copies of the tax invoices showing the purchase details and plumbing work must be submitted with the completed rebate form.
Tap Timers
57.The Waterwise Rebate of $10 is only available for automatic tap timers listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
58.The approved tap timer must be able to accommodate two day per week water restrictions by allowing sprinklers to operate for an allocated time, on two specific days at specific times of the day (e.g. 15 minutes on Wednesday and Saturday).
59.The rebate is limited to a maximum of two tap timers per domestic household.
60.The customer must include the barcode information from the product packaging and a copy of the receipt, with the completed rebate form, to be eligible for a rebate.
Soil Wetting Products
61.The Waterwise Rebate of $10 is only available on soil wetting products listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
62. A rebate of $10 per household is applicable to customers who purchase either 10kg of granulated agent or two litres of liquid concentrate. If multiple packages (i.e. two 5kg packs) are purchased, it must be in a single transaction.
63.The rebate is limited to a maximum of two soil wetting products purchased per residential household each financial year.
64.The customer must include on the completed rebate form, the barcode number from the product packaging and attach a copy of the receipt to be eligible for a rebate.
65.Rebate not valid for commercial purposes or applications.
Flow Regulators
66.The Waterwise Rebate of $2 is only available on flow regulators with a water rating of ‘3’ Stars or better (or 4 ‘A’ until 31 December 2006) listed on the
www.water.wa.gov.au website.
67.The rebate is limited to a maximum of $20 per domestic household.
68. The customer must attach to the completed rebate form, a copy of the tax invoice and receipt as proof of installation of an approved flow regulator to be eligible for a rebate. The invoice must state the make and model of the regulator installed.
