The State Water Strategy identifies five key focus areas to ensure a sustainable water future for Western Australia. These are:
- improving water use efficiency in all sectors;
- achieving significant advances in water reuse;
- fostering innovation and research;
- planning and developing new sources of water in a timely manner; and
- protecting the value of our water resources.
